Dooctor.ie Named Title Sponsor of LGFA National Volunteer of the Year Awards

Dooctor.ie Announced as Title Sponsor of LGFA National Volunteer of the Year Awards

Dooctor.ie is proud to announce a new partnership with the Ladies Gaelic Football Association (LGFA) as the title sponsor of the LGFA National Volunteer of the Year Awards.

The prestigious 2025 awards, which will take place at Croke Park on Friday, January 23rd, will now be known as the LGFA National Volunteer of the Year Awards in association with Dooctor.ie.

This sponsorship reflects Dooctor.ie’s ongoing commitment to supporting communities, grassroots sport and the people who dedicate their time and energy to making a difference across Ireland.

Celebrating the Heartbeat of Ladies Gaelic Football

The LGFA National Volunteer of the Year Awards recognise the incredible contribution of volunteers who support Ladies Gaelic Football at club, county and national level.

Now in its ninth year, the awards celebrate administrators, coaches, media volunteers and community leaders across eight categories, as well as welcoming a new inductee into the Volunteer Hall of Fame.

The Overall Volunteer of the Year will receive the prestigious Lulu Carroll Award, named in honour of the late Lulu Carroll — a former All-Ireland medallist and one of Ladies Football’s most respected figures.

A Shared Commitment to Community Wellbeing

Commenting on the partnership, LGFA President Trina Murray said:

“Our volunteers are the heartbeat of the LGFA, giving countless hours to support players, clubs, schools and communities across the country. It is only fitting that their dedication, compassion and commitment are recognised and celebrated on a national stage. We are proud to partner with Dooctor.ie, an organisation that shares our values of care, accessibility and community wellbeing.”

Speaking on behalf of Dooctor.ie, founder Dr Hafiz Mohd Ali added:

“There is an incredible amount of work being done at grassroots level to support female sport across Ireland, much of it driven by dedicated volunteers who give their time, energy and passion to their communities. We are absolutely delighted to be teaming up with the LGFA for such a prestigious occasion.”
